How do I Brew?

Suggested ratio for tea preparation is one teaspoon of leaves per 8 ounces of water. However, light and voluminous teas will taste best with twice the leaves. Experiment and enjoy.

Use boiling water when preparing black, dark oolong and herbal teas, and cooler (180F) water when steeping green, light oolong and white teas.

Do not steep your tea longer than recommended or it will turn bitter. The rule of thumb is 5 minutes for most teas, and only 3 minutes for light oolong and green teas.

How do I Know if the Water Temperature is Right?

For your black, dark oolong, and herbal teas, allow your water to boil and let it sit for no longer than 2 minutes.

For green, light oolong, and white teas that require cooler water, allow your boiled water to sit and cool for approximately 10 minutes.

Please refer to the packaging and use the same guidelines.

 How Fresh are Your Teas?

We source our teas directly from small farmers and mix and package our blends immediately to guarantee quality and freshness.

What is the Shelf Life of Your Teas?

When stored properly, our teas are freshest for one and a half years. Please refer to the “best by” date on the product packaging.

To store tea properly, keep it in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and at room temperature. We do not recommend freezing or refrigerating your tea as this will expose it to humidity and make it stale faster.

What do You Use for Flavoring Your Teas?

Our natural flavors are either extracts from plants like vanilla, cinnamon, and fruits or actual fresh pieces of herbs and/or fruits. Our teas are mixed first with these flavors and are left to dry. Once dry, we add other natural ingredients to the mixture.

Are Your Teas Treated with Pesticides?

Our farmers typically do not treat their teas with any pesticides, and if they do they only use small amounts of low-solubility pesticide to protect their leaves from bugs. This pesticide does not dissolve in water, meaning it won’t find its way into your tea.

Our teas comply with US and EU safety standards for pesticide use.

Are Your Teas Organic?

We source directly from small farmers who typically cannot afford to go through the organic certification process. However, the farmers live on their plantations and use natural farming practices that would otherwise meet the requirements for organic certification.

Do Your Teas Contain Sugar?

Our teas contain no added sugars, but some of our blends, like the ones with dried fruits or chocolate pieces, may contain trace amounts of all-natural sugar.

Can I Drink Your Tea even though I have Dietary Restrictions?

Yes! Our teas are gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, and contain no added sugars!

Some of our teas may have trace amounts of sugar due to ingredients like dried fruit and chocolate chips.

While our teas contain no ingredients that would make them unkosher, we are not kosher-certified.

I have Food Allergies. Can I still Enjoy Your Tea?

Please refer to our ingredient list on each tea to determine which teas contain your allergens.

Can I Reuse my Tea Leaves?

Yes, our teas can be used two or three more times with added steeping time.

What is the Best Way to Make Iced Tea?

To turn our tea into iced tea, brew your tea of choice with twice the amount of leaves and hot water, then pour it over ice.

Where do You get Your Honey?

Most of our honey is locally sourced here in Florida, with some of our specialty honey, like our pumpkin honey, coming from small farms in the regions where these kinds of honey are made possible.

Why do the Different Honeys Matter?

Different kinds of honey are made with different flowers based on season and location. This changes the honey’s flavor and color, and we describe these differences in each honey’s product page.

Does Honey Expire?

Honey does not spoil like other foods but can crystalize and change color. You can keep your honey from crystalizing for longer by storing it in a dry, cool environment. If your honey is crystalized, heat it in a saucepan for a few minutes.

Is the Packaging Recyclable?

Our packaging is made entirely of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. Since it is already made of recycled materials, it cannot be recycled again.

When will I get My Order?

Orders are shipped Monday - Friday. Orders placed before 2:00 pm will ship the same day.
